As a principal analyst for Yankee Group, Jason Armitage delivers research and insights on apps, digital media, mobile marketing and mobile commerce. In this role, he focuses on analysis of changing consumer demand, new product/service innovation, emerging business models and market metrics.
Prior to joining Yankee Group, Armitage worked with many of the leading players in consumer technology and digital media. As a senior analyst with IDC, he started up EMEA programs on consumer markets, leading research on digital video, digital audio, gaming and connectivity. He also led IDC's Digital Media research in EMEA, delivering insights on Internet advertising and social media.
Prior to IDC, Armitage worked at leading research and media companies, consulting on global markets and corporate strategies in consumer markets. He is widely quoted on video markets, online gaming, music services and connectivity. He has presented at leading technology and digital media events, both in the U.S. and Europe.
